Advising & Interventions
School counselors, postsecondary advisors, and other support roles monitor student success on Postsecondary Priority Metrics, use data to inform general advising conversations and identify individual students for targeted interventions, and support students and families in using data to explore postsecondary options.
Best Practices
All high school counselors and advisors (including external partners delivering advising services) participate in regular data monitoring checkpoints to review student-level data on the Postsecondary Priority Metrics and assign students to an intervention tier.
The district has established a multi-tiered system of postsecondary advising interventions that includes universal support for all students as well as targeted and intensive interventions for students identified as off-track or in need of additional support.
