LEA identifies and allocates the human, financial, and time resources needed to effectively implement its postsecondary and workforce success strategy and achieve related goals at the LEA and school levels.
Best Practices
The district designates a senior leader who is responsible for overseeing programming, student supports, and data aligned to the district's postsecondary and workforce success strategy.
The district ensures that at least one staff member at the district and school level is responsible for the district’s identified Postsecondary Priority Metrics.
Each high school has a dedicated Postsecondary Leadership Team. The Postsecondary Leadership Team includes at least one external partner.
The district ensures sufficient time in the school day to advise students on postsecondary options, such as through a dedicated postsecondary planning course or advisory period.
The district has budget line items that are for specific postsecondary readiness and success activities (such as CTE, dual enrollment, advanced coursework, and postsecondary advising) and provides sufficient financial support for those activities.
