While data leadership and data infrastructure are both essential elements of effective postsecondary data practice, the only way that data can ultimately improve student outcomes is if practitioners actually use it. To drive effective postsecondary data use, districts can embed postsecondary data into staff training and professional development, routines for continuous improvement, and the design and implementation of core postsecondary advising and advising-related interventions.
