TSIA2 Scoring

"College Ready" Scores

Students are considered "college-ready" if they meet any of the following scores on the TSIA2.

Students who meet these thresholds are eligible for dual credit during high school and eligible to enter directly into core courses when entering community college.


These scores, or their exemptions, would meet the TSIA indicator for CCMR and would result in a point towards CCMR accountability.

English Language Arts & Reading (ELAR)

Multiple Choice: 945 or higher
- AND -
Essay: 5 or higher

OR

Diagnostic Test: 5 or higher
- AND -
Essay: 5 or higher

Mathematics

Multiple Choice: 950 or higher

OR

Diagnostic Test: 6 or higher

TSIA2 Exemptions

SAT

A minimum score of 480 on the Evidenced-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW) will exempt a student from both the TSI reading and writing requirements; a minimum score of 530 on the mathematics test will exempt a student from the TSI mathematics requirements.

ACT

A composite score of 23 with a minimum of 19 on the English test (will satisfy both reading and writing TSI requirements) and/or the mathematics test shall be exempt from those corresponding sections

EOC

4000+ (Level II) on the *English III (3) (will satisfy both reading and writing TSI requirement)

4000+ (Level II) on the *Algebra II (2) (will satisfy the math TSI requirement)

College Prep Courses

Completion of College Preparatory English & Language Arts course. (such as Texas College Bridge ELA)

Completion of College Preparatory Math course. (such as Texas College Bridge Math)
