As you know, the Pandemic is a BIG thing this year. Many people are dying, In New Jersey there have been 265,295 cases and 16,476 have died! Overall in the world, there have been 51,857,776 cases and 1,278,280 people have died! This is why the pandemic needs to be stopped. It is because the cases have been rising and rising. It is basically the only thing on the news! Most of the time, I have to wear masks wherever I go! It is really not the most fun or the best thing ever. Have you ever wondered about when the pandemic would end? I know I have multiple times! Will it ever end in the first place? Will we ever get to go out and be able to do all the stuff we want to? It is a big question that everyone is thinking about.
When the pandemic is going to end? Who is going to fix the pandemic? What is the pandemic? Where is the pandemic going to end? Why did the pandemic start in the first place? All these questions are probably in your head right now. Well, let's get them out, and figure them out.
If the pandemic will end, how will it end then and when? Now that’s a big question that scientists are still trying to find out. According to the “World Economic Forum”, it says that the pandemic will probably never end. If we want to get rid of the virus, we have to give an effective vaccine to every person in the world. Same thing happened to smallpox, and that took many years. So, if we do want this pandemic to end, then it might take a few years.
From the article, it says that it will take years for the pandemic to end. But, what do real people think? From the passage “BGR”, Bill Gates says “You have to admit there’s been trillions of dollars of economic damage done and a lot of debts, but the innovation pipeline on scaling up diagnostics, on new therapeutics, on vaccines is actually quite impressive, And that makes me feel like, for the rich world, we should largely be able to end this thing by the end of 2021, and for the world at large by the end of 2022.”
It’s not only Gates that has something to say. So does Dr. Anthony Fauci, a famous scientist who works for Donald Trump. He says, “However, we have certain things within our grasp and within our power that I believe are going to make that
projection inaccurate,” Fauci said. “And that is, we can control this from a public health standpoint. If you synergize and superimpose good, solid, careful, prudent public health measures with a vaccine that is effective — it doesn’t have to be 100 percent effective. If you get a vaccine in 2021, throughout the year, I believe by the end of the year 2021, we will be as good as back to normal as we possibly can.” This can show that most likely it will take another year and few months to get back to normal. Or, that’s just what they think.
As you can see, overcoming this pandemic will be a huge thing that billions of people want to accomplish. The virus has killed millions of people and many million have been testing positive.. If we are not able to stop this pandemic, it might be able to kill billions of people. This is why we need to look out for the virus. Also, remember to stay at home. It is not safe to go out with people you don’t know. You should also remember to take a mask with you wherever you go. Remember to wash your hands and don’t touch your eyes! If everyone keeps up with these rules, then we will be able to keep the pandemic contained. Have fun and stay safe!
