Southeast Middle Cougar Families,

This is Principal Shalonda Simoneaux. We are so excited we have reached October with a month full of activities. Our daily focus remains teaching and learning at Southeast Middle School. Remember to check your Parent Center to monitor your students` progress weekly. Students will be out for Fall Break, Friday October 8 and Monday October 11. Students return to learning on Tuesday, October 12. Thank you parents for attending parent conferences and working with teachers to help students improve academically and with behavior. We continue to re-enforce positive student behavior. Students, who have shown Cougar PRIDE, will be able to go to the concession area on this Thursday after lunch. Students may bring money to purchase items from the concession area. We will continue to give students opportunities to improve their behavior and reward positive behavior. Thank you parents for all you do at home to re-enforce positive behavior and encourage students to make healthy character choices. Cougar football will play at home Wednesday at 2:30 pm. Volleyball travels McKinley Middle Thursday at 2:30 pm. Please come out and support our teams. Picture Day for all students will be October 13. Students wear their uniform shirt for pictures and they will be available for purchase. Please check our website smsdataschool.com for school information.
