Southeast Middle Cougar Families,

Happy Veteran’s Day to all our service men and women in our Southeast Middle Community. Thank you for your service to your country past and present. Our students have been invited to attend the virtual Veteran’s Day event at Broadmoor High School. We will also honor our Veteran’s at our school with a special recognition and tokens of appreciation. We are already halfway through the 2^nd nine weeks. Many of our students have improved; however, we are working hard in the areas where our students struggle the most based on resent benchmark assessment data. We will send progress reports home November 15^th and you are able to monitor your student’s progress daily on JParent. We continue to focus on teaching and learning and maintaining an environment healthy for our students to learn. We encourage our students daily to show Cougar PRIDE with their classmates and in their classes. We are preparing students for high school through college and career Exposure, Preparation, and Access. We are working on creating the identity for each grade as the Class of 2026, Class of 2027, and Class of 2028 with a mindset of moving on to high school ready to continue their journey toward graduation. We thank you parents and guardians for answering when we call, as well as assisting and enforcing our school rules and high expectations for classroom behavior and academic performance. School safety, academic growth, and character development continue to be our focus with your support. High Schools are beginning to reach out to our students to share information and offer field trips about their different program offerings. The magnet portal is open to all students applying for magnet programs at SE Middle and other programs throughout the district. Families have more options than ever before, and we thank you for choosing Southeast Middle as the school for your student. Every day is a great day to be a Cougar and we are thankful in this season of Thanksgiving for all of you.
