Greetings SE Middle Families,

Students will recieve their 3rd nine weeks report cards this week, which means we have completed 27 weeks of instruction this school year. Our students and teachers have been working hard to make all the days left to prepare for LEAP testing, which begins April 25, 2022, are used efficiently and effectively with teaching and learning. We celebrated PI day today and our 6th and 7th graders are completing course requests for next school year. Our 8th grade team is excited about High School Night and our Math and Science team is excited about their upcoming event which will also welcome 5th grade families. We are excited and look forward to engaing with the community for our Crawfish Fundraiser! 4lbs of crawfish, corn, and potatoes can be purchased for $21 online or in the school office to support our school. The last day to purchase tickets is March 23rd. To order online: Visit smsdataschool.com, go to "school fees" tab, and select "crawfish fundraiser". Use your reciept or ticket to pick-up your crawfish on March 29th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. We are asking each student to try and sell five tickets to family or community members, if they choose to participate. A successful fundraiser will allow us to enhance our school culture and academic programs even more for our students.

We are committed to continued growth of our academic programs and maintain a school culture that is safe and positive with classroom environments that are conducive to learning. I review expectations with students daily during the annuncements and re-enforce the values to succeed and excel that you teach them at home. Maintaining our academic focus and creating confidence in our students as they prepare for LEAP testing will continue daily.
