Southeast Middle Families,

This is Shalonda Simoneaux, your principal. We are beginning week three of our school year and look forward to all the Cougars learning with PRIDE during the coming week. Here are some very important updates for parents:

All forms and fees are due this week.

1. Blue Chromebook Forms should be returned by tomorrow. All students grades 6 through 8 have received their Chromebooks.

2. Students received Emergency Cards and Lunch forms on Friday. Those forms should also be returned. It is important that we have the correct information on file for each student in case of an emergency.

3. Also, Football packets were given out to students interested in playing Football for the Cougars. All FB packets must be completed before students can tryout. Opportunities for other sports will be announced soon.

We want all students to be successful and ready to learn everyday. We thank you parents for making sure all the beginning of the school year paperwork and fees are turn-in.

COVID Testing for students and community members will begin at our school this week. Check our website and a separate email with registration links on how to register your students for testing.

Here are some topics to discuss during family time this week that we are discussing at Southeast Middle:

1. How Cougars Treat their Chromebooks so they work well all year?

2. What Pride Respect Intelligence Discipline and Enthusiasm mean if we show those traits daily at school in all our classrooms?

3. College and careers our Cougars are interested in for the future??We have spotlighted two colleges so far, Southeastern LA University and Dillard University.

4. Ways to make every day a great day to be a Cougar??
