Greetings SE Middle Families,

By this time all parents have recieved a 3rd nine weeks report card from your students and you have begun to monitor grades for the 4th and final nine weeks. Our students now have 20 days in class to prepare for LEAP Testing which begins the week of April 25, 2022. Teaching and learning are critical in our day-to-day as we countdown to testing. We have a busy week this week as we enter the season of Spring. We are excited to host our 2nd round Spelling Bee for our classroom winners to compete for a chance to move on to the district level competition; and we are also hosting our Math and Science Night Tuesday night, when we will also welcome 5th grade families to visit our school and staff. This is also the last week to support our Crawfish Fundraiser! Purchase tickets in the office or online for 4lbs of crawfish, corn, and potatoes for $21 online to support our school. The last day to purchase tickets is March 23rd. To order online: Visit smsdataschool.com, go to "school fees" tab, and select "crawfish fundraiser". Use your reciept or ticket to pick-up your crawfish on March 29th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. We are asking each student to try and sell five tickets to family or community members, if they choose to participate. EBRPSS has sent all parents a link to register for bus transportation for the 2022-2023 school year. All students who will need transportation need to complete the survery. The link is at the end of this memo. Very few of our parents have completed the survey at this time. Please do so as soon as possible so we can assure each student has a bus for next year. If you need assistance please contact our front office for information. We are working on course requests for 2022-23 school year for 6th and 7th graders, and 8th grade graduation and high school course requests information for 8th graders, so parents stay tuned for information coming home with next school year information at each grade level.
