objective:

We will apply our understandings of the Art Elements and Principles of design by creating an artistic collage composition. 

We will look at collage artists Henri Matisse, Hannah Hoch, and Romare Bearden for inspiration and research.

• Colored Paper

• Found Paper (optional)

• Scissors

• Glue Stick

• Background Paper (18" x 24")

Day 1: Plan/ Cut out Shapes (30 - 40 min)

Day 2:  All shapes cut out (30 - 40 min)

Day 3: Arrange composition, Glue (30 - 40 min)

Day 4: finish gluing/ refining (30 - 40 min)

1: Three or more Elements (Color and Shape will be at least two)

You will receive one progress grade for showing me your divergent thinking.  

The expectation is that you try a minimum of 3 different compositions, and document each experimentation. You will turn these in by inserting them into a personal slideshow that I will share with you as an assignment in GC.
