Amy's Bag Project

Project Objective: 

To use both divergent and convergent thinking skills to create an incredibly creative and expressive paper sculpture out of a plain paper bag. Please consider really turning it into a 3D object and composing in the round. 

Pretend this is for real, and you are turning in a job application. 

The goal is to make me want to hire you! 

Generate a list and accompanying thumbnail sketches for 2-3 ideas that you are excited about. Don't self edit during this process. No idea is a bad idea, just let them flow, get them down on paper. 

Then you can use the process of elimination to choose which ones are the best fit for you! 

This will look different for everyone based off of what your idea is. Your sculpture may be very different from your initial idea and sketches, and that's okay. I want you to develop your piece as you are working. Different artists will use different mediums.

• Don't be afraid to simplify 

• Do respond to inspiration

• Art is magical, please hide your methods (IE: Hide Tape, staples, and glue)

First Document Your Work:

• Use Natural Light

• A Simple Background

• Camera Point of View/ Angle

• Cropping

• Minor adjustments for contrast/ brightness.

1. You will attach your image to the attachment assignment which is a quality grade for your project.

2. You will insert your image to the collaborative google slideshow assignment, which will be a presentation grade for your project.
