If you want to keep rows or columns where they are (especially if you are going to sort your data) is to freeze them.

This means that no matter what you do with your data, what you have frozen will stay put. This works really well for headings.

1) Click above the row or column so that it all is highlighted BLUE

2) Select the VIEW menu

3) Click FREEZE and then choose if you want to freeze the row or the column.
