Practice Logging in
You will be given an email address and a password to use to login.
On a CHROMEBOOK, when you TURN IT ON, it will ask for your email address and password
This will be 'your name' followed by @schoolname.school.nz
e.g joec@alexprim.school.nz
It is IMPORTANT to type your password carefully and use the SHIFT key if you need any CAPITAL letters.
TOP TIP
Practice typing in your email address and your password 4-5 times until you feel more confident

The @ symbol is found by pressing SHIFT and the 2 key AT THE SAME TIME
Not on a Chromebook?
1) Choose the Google Chrome icon
2) Type in myaccount.google.com into the address bar
3) Click GO TO GOOGLE ACCOUNT
4) Sign in

On a chromebook, you can easily LOCK your screen if you are going to do something else or stepping away for a moment. This keeps your work safe and is a great habit to get into early. It stops people from being able to use your device unless they know your password.
Press SEARCH and L
When you return, all you need to do is enter your password and you will be right back where you left off.
