To really add value to a Google Doc you may wish to insert a Google Drawing that you have created.
Click:
Insert - Drawing - From Drive - choose the Google Drawing to insert - Select
Choose if you want to link to the original source or just embed unlinked and then click Insert
Your Google Drawing is now inserted within your Google doc!
