Did you know that just 20 minutes of reading each night can make a huge difference in your child’s academic success? Research shows that students who read daily build stronger vocabularies, improve comprehension skills, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Over time, those 20 minutes really add up—helping students grow into confident and capable readers.
Tips to Make Reading a Daily Habit:
📚 Make it routine: Set aside the same time each evening—before bed is often a calm, cozy choice.
👨👩👧👦 Read together: Take turns reading aloud or ask your child questions about what they’re reading.
🎧 Mix it up: Pair traditional books with audiobooks or e-books to keep things fresh.
🛋️ Create a reading spot: A comfy chair, good lighting, and a basket of books can make reading time something to look forward to.
⭐ Let them choose: Give your child ownership by allowing them to select books that match their interests.
A consistent 20 minutes each day isn’t just practice—it’s planting seeds for a strong future!

1st–5th grade classes will come to the library every other week.
Book Checkout & Returns:
Students may check out books during their scheduled library time. (Pre-K through 1st grade: one book, 2nd-5th grade: two books)
All books are due two weeks after they are checked out.
If a book becomes overdue, families will receive a friendly reminder email.
