Inclusive Schools week is Dec. 1-5. As students learn that each person has something unique and important to offer in school, we encourage families to join in at home. Check out this flyer for at-home activities.

Thanksgiving break is a great time to slow down and connect as a family. Try creating a Thankfulness Journal or Gratitude Jar together. Each day, have every family member write or draw something they’re grateful for—big or small—and add it to the journal or jar. Kids practice writing, reflecting, and expressing ideas clearly, while families build meaningful conversations around gratitude. At the end of the break or on Thanksgiving, read the notes together and celebrate the moments that made your week special.
Join DSISD for a free "7 Habits of Highly Effective Families" workshop designed to help you build stronger, deeper connections with your family. This workshop is hosted by our very own DSISD staff and family members. Discover how the same 7 Habits principles that our students learn in school can be applied at home to help your family thrive. This engaging, self-discovery workshop will provide you with new skills and fresh perspectives.

JROTC Student Led Military Club proudly partners with Toys for Tots and the Marine Corps to help raise toys and money for Austin children. We are grateful for the support of all the schools in DSISD and the many local businesses and neighborhoods who host boxes and promote this great cause.
Host locations will collect toys from Oct 1 - Nov 25 and then military club students will collect all the toys and organize them at the high school. The Marines will pick them up in the first week of December and distribute them to families in need throughout the month of December.
The Dripping Springs High School BEST Robotics team will be hosting the regional competition on Saturday, November 22, in the DSHS competition gym. Have you ever wanted to see a robot open a gate, turn a knob, and sort objects faster than a human? The DSHS BEST Robotics team earns points for attendance! Come see area teams compete in multiple rounds from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can also meet the teams, learn how the teams approached the challenge, and collect some swag.
