Track
Track and field has been a dream of mine since I was young, and I finally got the chance to turn that dream into reality when I joined the team in 8th grade. From the moment I started, I knew it was something I wanted to continue throughout high school. The excitement of competing, the drive to improve, and the bond with my teammates have all made track one of the most rewarding parts of my life.
I currently run the 200m, 400m, 4x200m relay, and 4x400m relay. Each event challenges me in different ways—whether it’s pushing through the final stretch of the 400m or relying on perfect teamwork in the relays. I’ve especially found success in the 4x200m and 4x400m, where I’ve been proud to earn awards and contribute to my team’s strong performances. One of the highlights of my track career so far is qualifying for the state meet this year with my 4x400m relay team, a goal we’ve worked hard to achieve.
Being part of the track team has taught me more than just how to run faster. It’s shown me the importance of commitment, time management, and mental toughness. Balancing school and athletics isn't always easy, but the challenges have helped me grow both as a student and an athlete. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m even more excited about what’s ahead. I plan to continue running track through my senior year, pushing myself to improve and making the most of every opportunity to compete.
