Dance
Dance has been an important part of my life since 2nd grade, when I first discovered my love for movement and performance. Recognizing my potential early on, my dance teacher invited me to join her studio, Synergy, where I trained and competed for six years. During that time, I performed in a wide range of genres, including tap, jazz, ballet, and lyrical. Competing taught me valuable lessons in discipline, teamwork, and resilience, and gave me the confidence to grow as both a dancer and a performer.
After my time in competitive dance, I continued pursuing my passion through my school’s dance program. I’m currently part of the advanced dance class, where I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with talented peers and instructors, refine my technique, and explore creative choreography. One of the most exciting moments in my dance journey so far was performing with my class at the National Beta Club Convention in December. Our performance earned 3rd place overall, a huge accomplishment that reflected our hard work, dedication, and team spirit.
Dance continues to be a powerful outlet for me—a way to express myself, stay active, and connect with others through art. I’m proud of everything I’ve accomplished and look forward to continuing this journey throughout high school.
