What does it mean to volunteer? Why would Drew require you volunteer for 100 hours during your high school career?
Volunteering means giving your time and effort to help others without expecting anything in return. It can be anything from helping out at a food bank, tutoring younger students, or cleaning up a local park. When you volunteer, you're making a difference in your community and showing that you care about people and the world around you.
Drew Charter requires students to complete 100 volunteer hours during high school because they want us to learn the value of service and giving back. Volunteering helps us grow as people—it teaches responsibility, empathy, and teamwork. It also gives us real-world experience and helps us become more active, caring members of our community. Plus, it can even help us discover passions or career paths we might want to follow in the future.
