What is Drew like? How is Drew different than other schools?  Why did you choose to attend Drew?

Drew Charter School is a K-12 Atlanta, Georgia school that has a majority Black student population. Drew offers a unique and supportive environment that focuses on academic rigor and community involvement. One thing that sets Drew apart is the school's commitment to a well-rounded education, pairing rigorous academics with experiences in creativity, leadership, and personal growth. The school places a strong emphasis on preparing students to excel in college and beyond, with arts, STEAM, and extracurricular activities that enable students to acquire a variety of skills.

What sets Drew apart from other schools is the fact that it focuses on inclusivity and close community. Diversity at the school is not just accepted, but it has a secure, welcoming atmosphere that enables students to grow and be themselves. Drew allows students to feel rooted in where they are from while opening their minds to new possibilities by its focus on cultural awareness and academic rigor.

I chose to attend Drew because I wanted to be a student at a university that is concerned with both academic achievement and community. The sense of belonging, the strong focus on preparing students for the future, and the ability to network with other students who have shared experiences were significant in my decision. Drew's commitment to helping every student succeed created the ideal setting for me to grow academically and personally.
