In order to complete this project I had to search for different symbols for both science and art. Some tools I learned to complete this task were how to change my paintbrush to change the texture, layering, and how to paste pdf's. My art had a lot of repetition, there was texture in the background and different patterns. I enjoyed using different symbols and trying out the different tools on the website. I created my own design. I could use these tools in the future when creating an art piece on a canvas.
The goal of this project is to represent different areas during the Columbian exchange in the form of pottery. The different class assignments all relate to each other because their all tied into the Columbian exchange and the importance of it. In art class we had to do research on all areas involved in the Columbian exchange and choose one area to do. We then had to make pottery related to the different resources they had. I wanted to go based of my culture since some of my family is from Jamaica. I decided to make a mug with the different Jamaican colors on it in an Ombre effect. I did the scoring method to create my mug. This is related to the Columbian exchange because it ties with some of the resources that they had during the Columbian exchange. Something that didn't work during my project is that my mug slightly broke off. This caused a big hole in my mug but I shaved it down so it could look better. If I had more time I would have re-done my whole mug but I didnt have enough time.
