Fortnite is a video game that is free on PS4, Xbox, and PC. They have a store in game where you can by cosmetic items such as skins, gliders, harvesting tools, etc. Fortnite has two game modes Save The World and Battle Royale. Save The world is a campaign to Fortnite where you defend your teams base against aliens. And Battle Royale is multiplayer game mode in Fortnite where you have to land on a map with 99 other people and the last person alive wins.

This is the current map that fortnite has out right now. People like Fortnite because they get incentives from the game because the developers update the game every week. Fortnite have updates every week and they have updates in the store to add new stuff that the community wants.

Fortnite is on their 4th season, they have a new season every 60-70 days. At the end of season 3 there was a comet in the sky and people were thinking it was going to hit Tilted Towers but it ended up hitting dust depot. Dusty depot turned into Dusty Divot. They did this because they wanted to keep the game fresh and feel new, They added more places to the map.

Fortnite has a in game currency that is called V- bucks. This in game currency will let you be able to buy skins, gliders, harvesting tools, etc in the Fortnite store. People buy these because it's new to the game and they are desired because a lot of people want them and people's friends buy these skins so they want to hop on the bandwagon and join other people. These skins are desired because they are flashy compared to the normal skins and people want to appear unique in the game and show that they are special. This is similar to clothing and the skins are viewed as a status symbol in the game.
