ANNOTATION
In every lesson, I always applied different strategies that maintain learning environments that motivate learners to work productively for their own learning. For example, in the review part of my lesson, I used Classpoint, an interactive classroom tool, to let my students’ answers be collected and reflected in a live chart. In that way, my learners will be encouraged to submit their answers synchronously with their classmates. Digital resources can be powerful learning tools that have a positive impact on the learning process of students. Student engagement can be boosted by gaming strategies like Wordwall and Quizziz. Active learning is another strategy at the proper discussion point of the lesson. Students are more engaged in participating in the discussion and sharing their experience and knowledge with their classmates. Group work is also evident in my lesson. Collaborative learning is a powerful strategy that helps students pursue higher-order thinking skills. There is a part in my discussion where I used a modelling strategy wherein I demonstrated how to put repeat marks in the musical score, and the students will try the same. It’s the process of demonstrating a skill or concept so learners can see it first-hand.
