Members of the DeForest FFA have researched food insecurity and found that startling fact from the USDA. That’s why the DeForest FFA would like to tell you about a special event we are hosting at the DeForest High School on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024. We are partnering with Meals Of Hope to feed those that are food insecure with an event called “DeFo Fights Hunger.” The goal is to package 50,000 meals to send to the food insecure in our community. This event is the perfect venue for you to join us and bring your family, friends, and employees to an unforgettable experience. Participants are deeply changed by spending just an hour to help feed food insecure people. This will be our fifth year doing it and we hope for an even better turn out than previous years! Funds are needed to pay for product and shipping expenses. Our goal is to raise $16,000, with our goal of $16,000 we hope to meet our goal of 50,000 meals!

All donations are tax-deductible. The following is a list of donation opportunities. Keep in mind that each meal only costs $0.28 to package. A simple donation of $25 would provide over 50 meals. All donors will be recognized on our website (deforestffa.org), social media and by any press we receive and at the event.

This option is for those community businesses or organizations that would like to send 10 employees or members to package meals together for an hour-long shift. The table will have your logo on it for the duration of the entire event.
