The mission of the DeForest FFA Alumni is to ensure the viability and importance of agriculture in the classroom and local community through education, support and promotion.

Alumni Main Events: Family Fun Night and FFA Alumni Scholarship

The FFA Alumni carries out this mission by doing many things such as: donating to Cows on the Concourse, matching funds raised here at the high school for DANN, donating milk for the Gridiron club for away game bag lunches, purchasing 2 fans for the barns at the Columbia Co. Fair in 2013 & the Dane Co. Fair in 2012, and donating to the FFA Foundation which supports SAEs for students around the state.

But most of all we give scholarships to our FFA members who have completed one year of higher education. That education can be at UW-Short Course, a tech school or a 4 year college. The dollar amount is determined by how much the student has participated in FFA. In the last 14 years, the FFA Alumni has presented one-hundred and fifteen scholarships, totaling $57,500 for students seeking any type of further education and donated $20,200 to the Agriculture classroom for the purchase of a set of classroom laptops and Vernier labquest and equipment!
