Rebuilding small gas engines is the focus of this course. Students will learn to troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul small engines as well as studying theories of operation. Course topics will include: general shop safety and tool identification and use.
As part of all agricultural science courses the student is an automatic member of the FFA and entitled to participate in all FFA events and activities of their choice. The student will be required to develop a Supervised Career Experience (SCE) record. This will require students to explore careers in any of the following ways: volunteering, shadowing, researching, gaining employment or entrepreneurship. From these experiences they will document hours and build skills to better prepare students for college or career.
