T-R-U-S-T Prayer
We use a five-letter acronym, T-R-U-S-T, to help us focus in prayer as we pray to the Holy Spirit. Consider praying through this devotional prayer on a daily basis.

T - Thank You, Holy Spirit
Thank You, Holy Spirit, for Your bright presence in me. I love Your presence. Apart from You, I can do nothing.
The first thing is to turn our attention inward to recognize the Spirit’s presence and simply thank Him for His indwelling presence. I say, “Thank You, Spirit, for Your presence in my spirit.” Occasionally add affectionate phrases like, “I love You, Holy Spirit, and I enjoy Your presence.”
"Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing." - John 15:5 NLT
"May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." - 1 Corinthians 13:14 NLT
R - Reveal God to me
Holy Spirit, I ask You to release revelation of God’s heart and Word to me. I ask that You open my eyes and give me understanding of who You are as I read Your Word.
Paul prayed that the Father of glory release the spirit of revelation to His people (Eph. 1:17) Moses prayed, “Please, show me Your glory” (Ex. 33:18). Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to see the realm of God’s glory that you may encounter more of His glory and heart.
"...that...God...may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better ...that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe." - 1 Corinthians 1:17-19 NIV
U - Use me
Holy Spirit, I ask You to release Your grace gifts and power through me to help others. I desire to be a vessel of Your presence to bless others.
Paul exhorted us to seek diligently to be used in the gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor. 12:31; 14:1). The Spirit promised to release His gifts through every believer (Acts 2:17-21; 1 Cor. 12:7). Thank the Holy Spirit for His gifts and ask Him to release them to you in a greater measure. Ask Him to give impressions to you to bless people, that you may be a vessel of His presence to glorify Jesus.
"But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all..." - 1 Corinthians 12:7 NKJV
S - Strengthen me
Holy Spirit, release divine might on the inside to strengthen my mind, emotions, and will. Thank You for the presence of Your love, peace, patience, and self-control in me.
The Spirit will strengthen our inner man by touching our minds and emotions with the might of His presence. We can draw on His strength by thanking Him for the reality of His power that is already in our born-again spirit. Because the Spirit lives in us, the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, and so on—is in our spirit now. We can experience more of the power of this fruit by thanking Him that it is already in us.
"That according to the riches of his glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith... - Ephesians 3:16-17a NLT
"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering [patience], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control." - Gal. 5:22-23 NIV
T - Teach me
Holy Spirit, I ask You to lead me in every area of my life. Give me new and creative ideas, order my steps, and open doors for new relationships and new business and ministry opportunities. Teach me how to live in a manner that is pleasing to You, and show me how best to walk in Your will, blessing, and prosperity for my life.
The Spirit is the Teacher who leads us into all truth and God’s will and ways so that we are able to live in partnership with God. We ask the Spirit to teach us about God’s Word, will, and ways by giving us wisdom and creative ideas for every area of our life, including how to steward our money, excel in a career, manage our time, prosper in relationships (in our family, church, workplace, etc.), function in ministry, and walk in purity and health (physically and emotionally). He will guide us in ways that help us walk in holiness, have health in our bodies, and so on.
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit...He will teach you all things..."- John 14:26 NIV
"When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come." - John 16:13 ESV
T-H-R-U-S-T Prayer
This is a variation on the TRUST prayer. We add the "H" to the other prayer focuses, to seek Healing over our physical, emotional, mental/psychological, and spiritual state.
H- Heal me
Holy Spirit, release Your healing power over my body, mind, emotions, and spirit, that I may run, with new found freedom, hard after You.
"...for I am the Lord, who heals you." - Exodus 15:26
"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." - Isaiah 53:5 NIV
