John Adams was born on October 30, 1735, to John Adams Sr. and Susanna Adams. He was born on the family farm in Massachusetts, not far from Boston. His father served as a government official. He was a town councilman and supervised the building of schools and roads.
John Adams was also involved with politics from an early age. His cousin was Sam Adams, the leader of the Sons of Liberty, the group responsible for the Boston Tea Party. Adams was there when the Declaration of Independence was signed and when the Constitution was written. He went on the become the first Vice Present and second President in history. He was a very well known Founding Father of the United States.
