We had a great morning drive to the Sand Dunes. There was a lot of wind at the park, and walking around the dunes was a little challenging. We all made the most of it and got some great photographs. We spent a few hours at Hooper pool. A great way to clear off the sand and refresh. It was only a half an hour to our hotel from the pool, so after checking in we called it an early night. We are up for an early breakfast and heading to Bandelier National Monument, and Sante fe in the afternoon.
We traveled to Bandelier National Monument with very open roads and beautiful scenery. We spent a few hours exploring the cliff dwellings and had lunch in the cafe. After lunch we headed to Santa Fe. After checking in at our hotel and a little rest, we explored the Santa Fe plaza and the connecting streets. We had dinner in a local restaurant. Later that evening in the hotel we all sat around and edited our photos and shared our favorites. Today we are having breakfast at a local diner then heading to the Ghost Ranch, then back to explore more of Santa Fe and mellow wolf later in the day.
Hello, Yes, I have learned a lot, but mostly, I've learned that toe socks are a thing, and some people care about them... A lot. This was a very cute conversation that went on in my car this afternoon. And the need to track down a few pairs was hilarious. (Please see below). We are having a great time and the Suburbans (cars) have been awesome. They are extremely comfortable. Today we got up and had breakfast at this amazing local diner. The food was great. We then headed to the ghost ranch. We walked one of the more popular trails called chimney rock trail. Afterwards, we headed back to Santa Fe. Where we gave students some time to explore the main square area and have some lunch. A little before 4pm we went to Meow Wolf which was a very cool experience. It was then time for DInner and a little down time in the hotel. Later start tomorrow morning, and then we are off to Taos.
Hi, We are all sitting together editing our photos from the day. It's fun to hear everyone talk about which photo they like best. We had a bit of a later start out of Sante Fe this morning. After sending students out for breakfast in small groups, we went to Plaza Blanca in Abiquin. The landscape was a lot of fun to photograph. It felt like we were walking on the moon. After two hours we headed to Taos to explore and have lunch. We then checked into our hotel and headed out to Rio Grande Gorge Bridge for afternoon/ sun set photos. Afterwards we had a later dinner in taos and now we are finishing up our editing.
Tomorrow we are getting up early for Breakfast and then starting our drive back to Dawson. Our plan is to get to Dawson around 3pm, but we will have students text you when we are an hour out.
