Today we had a lot of free self time (made some dance videos!) in the morning, learned how to journal, what stress is in the body. Then we did yoga at the Eldorado Mountain Yoga Ashram in the afternoon. Watch our videos!
Today we took the "adventure" in adventures in wellness to the extreme by pushing ourselves on the Rock-wall and conquering our anxiety by taking a leap in Slick City. We started off at the climbing gym, took the bus to the mall for some retail therapy and lunch, and ended the day by riding slides at Slick city! Watch our videos to see our adventure.
We had a lot of fun today! The first stop we did was Target and Starbucks to get our energy up then we went to the Longmont Humane Society to help volunteer and learn about animal wellness and welfare. We got to pet cats, dogs, and guinea pigs. We learned that animals need to have wellness as much as people do, and not all animals have good lives, but we can make a difference and help them out by researching and choosing ethical products. Overall, we had a lot of fun and we love Oreo and Gabbie (the 2 dogs we hung out with).
Today we went to the Temple Grandin Equine Center at CSU Spur to hang out with horses. First we took a tour then got to do an activity with a partner. We then got to meet the horses! We got to pet them and lead them around the arena. After that we simulated being on a cart with one of the horses. Then we got to hangout with the mini ponies! Finally we walked around the other building. We then got on the bus and went back to school.

Today, we had a quiet and relaxing day at home base -Dawson campus-. We had a zoom call with the poet laureate, and made a small piece of writing about a personified emotion. Then, we got into self care such as face masks, painting nails, and coloring. We enjoyed pizza and a movie, ending our day.
