Over spring break remember to practice, practice, practice your multiplication tables. Games, Reflex Math, flash cards, and manipulatives are all great ways to help you learn your facts! Repetition is healthy! YOU CAN DO IT!

I wish you a very happy and fun spring break! See you in a week! Please see the very important information about PTC and curriculum form entry dates below.
The April calendar is available in the contents section of our web page. Please reach out if you have any questions. I have an open door policy and would love to assist anytime! Thank you for all you do for your students and for partnering with Davinci to create a unique educational journey for your students!
Parent-Teacher Conferences: The 4th Grade Parent Conferences will be Monday, April 29, and Thursday, May 2. Please note that these dates will not coincide with the school's general Parent Conference schedule. I understand that this may require some adjustments to your plans, and I genuinely appreciate your cooperation and understanding in accommodating this change. I have the signup spreadsheet ready for all 4th Grade parents, see the link at the bottom of this letter.
Curriculum Ordering: You will be ordering curriculum for 5th Grade during Parent Teacher Conference. Please be prepared with the packages you would like to order before you come. If you are not sure what curriculum you would like for next year, I advise you to make an appointment with Jessica Maughan well before your PTC so that you will be prepared.
Curriculum Progress Forms will be emailed out school-wide on April 22nd. Please fill out your 4th Grade students form by April 24th. This only gives you two days to do it, but it will give me the information I need to have a successful conference with you. Thank you so much for your support and for sending such great students to Davinci 4th Grade!

HOW do you write a procedural text? Well, we have learned all the steps, just ask your student. Our students worked in pairs this week to reshape and edit their procedures of making a PB& J sandwich! They did an amazing job editing and working together! After spring break, students will be chose something they are experts at doing or making to write their final paper! Please ask your student what they are good at or what they could teach someone the steps to learn. We are all experts at something!

Antelope Island
Antelope Island
Our Davinci family field trip to Antelope Island was such a success! We learned all about the ecology of the Island. Families brought their kids to learn and enjoy all the animals along the drive out to Garr Ranch!
The Great Salt Lake offers a fine dining menu for birds. Harvesting brine shrimp from the GSL has become a multi-million dollar business. Here are a few links to read about the science behind Antelope Island! If you didn't come this year, be sure to join us next year! It was an amazing experience and students enjoyed it!
