Hello Parents and Students,
Another great week has gone by so quickly. Our students are very excited for the Reader's Tasting Table coming up on February 27 & 28. Please remind your student to bring their red reading calendar and book this coming week! Brandi Jessop and Maren Carlile be joining us for our Tasting Table!ย
Students have been working on Reflex Math at home and I am seeing great progress! YOU are learning your math facts and gaining green light days! Way to go and keep up the great learning with your curriculum at home! I am cheering you all on! ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐
Love,
Mrs. Nichols
P.S. Remember this webpage has a bonus activity to "Research a Scientist" This encourages students to read informational text. So, be curious and research science!ย
Please review the links below if your student was absent. We worked on the Intro, middle, and ending of our stories. Next week we will be finishing the rough draft! Students will then bring home the draft to be corrected.ย
What you will learn from this video (see link below)
Light travels in a straight line and reflects off of things.
We can see because light reflects off objects and enters our eyes.
Our eyes do not produce light, they only detect it.
4.3.2 Develop and use a model to describe how visible light waves reflected from objects enter the eye causing objects to be seen. Emphasize the reflection and movement of light.
