💝 Valentine's Party Information below! Look for the sign-up link to help in class!💘
Dear Parents and Students,
Reflecting on our parent-teacher conference this past Monday, I am very grateful for you amazing parents. It was truly wonderful connecting with you, and I eagerly anticipate more meaningful conversations in the upcoming parent meetings on Monday. Your children in fourth grade are remarkable and it's wonderful to witness their progress. You do amazing work at home and it shows!
I extend my heartfelt thanks for your collaboration with Davinci Academy Flex. We love our Davinci families, and your involvement makes a significant impact on the educational journey of your child.
As we approach Valentine's Day, we are excited to announce our upcoming Valentine's Parties on February 13 & 14, from 2:40 to 3:15. We invite you to join us and help with an activity or treat by signing up to contribute to the festivities. Here is the link to sign up link.
In the spirit of creativity, we encourage students to craft their shoe-size Valentine's Boxes before the party. Additionally, each student is welcome to bring 15 unaddressed, yet signed Valentines to exchange with their classmates. This simple gesture fosters a heartwarming atmosphere, allowing our students to express their friendship and appreciation for one another.
Your support plays a crucial role in making this event a success. Together, we can cultivate a warm and inclusive environment where our students flourish, and learn to make lasting friendships. Thank you for being an essential part of our community and for helping your child develop wonderful DaVinci friendships.
Best,
Mrs. Nichols

Learning to create imaginative stories is a fun challenge. Students are in the beginning stages of pre-writing their imaginative stories. Here is a fun video for your students to review "How to create an imaginative narrative."
Thank you to Kalley Sherman and Kierston Scott for sharing their love of books with us this week! Our students are enjoying reading and we can't wait until our next Readers Tasting Table.
We need one more parent volunteer for our Reader's Tasting Table on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. If you are interested, please let me know via email. kristine.nichols@davinciacademy.org
Remember to check the Reader's Tasting Table schedule on our website content page. Thank you! ❤️
We have completed our unit on Energy Transfer. Here is a link for the lesson we did in class this week and a good review for at home use. It is always good to review at home to prepare for the science RISE test coming in the spring.
Standard(s) 4.3.2: Develop and use a model to describe how visible light waves reflected from objects enter the eye causing objects to be seen. Emphasize the reflection and movement of light. The structure and function of organs and organ systems and the relationship between color and wavelength will be taught in Grades 6 through 8.
See the above link, "Waves for Kids" as an introduction to wave properties. This is a fun unit including many experiments. This unit will run for the next seven weeks.
