Thank you to Mr. Moreno, Ms. Idlebird, Mx. Delaney for hosting a STAAR Parent Workshop. They provided parents with district resources and gave tips and trips on how to prepare our children for the STAAR!

Dear Families,

We are excited to be creating a school ofrenda in honor of Día de los Muertos. We would love your help in making it special for our students.

✨We are asking for:

• Donations such as candles, artificial flowers (marigolds), papel picado, small decorations, or traditional items.

• A picture of your loved one or pet who has passed away (size 4x6). Please bring a copy, not the original photo.

Standards mastery check testing

Oct 6th - 8th

What can you do to support your child for the Standards Mastery Checks?

Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep and a healthy breakfast.
Arrive at school on time to start the day calmly.
Encourage them with positive words: “Do your best!”
Remind them the test is just one way to show what they know.
Keep routines steady and celebrate their effort at home.

✨️PTO Volunteer of the Month: September 2025

Leidy Arzola was EVERYWHERE in September, helping with Family Game Night, the Readathon, La Herencia Hispana Celebration, and supporting our Girl Scout troops. She’s the type of parent who jumps in wherever she’s needed and brings great energy every time.

We’re so lucky to have parents like Leidy helping to make these events happen for our kids. If you see her around, be sure to thank her for all she does!

🐾 ¡La Tiendita de los Cachorros está ABIERTA! 🐾

¡Ahora es tu oportunidad de conseguir la ropa más reciente de espíritu escolar de Prestonwood y mostrar tu orgullo de cachorro! Desde camisetas hasta moños y gorras, cada compra apoya a nuestros estudiantes y une a nuestra comunidad escolar. ¡No esperes más! La tienda cierra el 19 de octubre, y una vez que cierre, ¡se va! It’s our favorite time of the year! Trunk or Treat!!! Join us on October 25th from 3:00 - 5:00 for our trunk or treat community event! There will be candy, games, a hay ride, airbrush tattoo artist, and the most amazing decorated trunks by our room parents!

There will also be food trucks if you wish to purchase food.

Look who has returned in the foyer! THE CANDY MONSTER! He’s hungry! We need you to feed him! Here’s a list of his favorites:

All of the candy and treats donated will be used to distribute to the trunks at Trunk or Treat.
