We did it — we made it to the last day of school!

What an amazing year it has been. Together, we learned, grew, celebrated successes, and overcame challenges. Thank you to our students, staff, and families for your hard work, support, and dedication throughout the year.

As we close out this school year, we celebrate all the memories made and the accomplishments achieved together. Wishing everyone a safe, restful, and joyful summer! Don't forget to stop by portillos tonight for the giveback!

The Summer Cool program will take place at Walker Middle School Mondays-Thursdays on June 1–4, June 8–11, June 15–18, and June 22–25, 2026 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

We strongly encourage all students to attend this program to ensure they are prepared for the next school year. Summer Cool is designed to support the whole child by strengthening academic skills in a structured and engaging environment while also incorporating enrichment activities to help students build confidence and prepare for the upcoming school year.

Students will participate in:

● 2 hours of reading and enrichment

● 2 hours of math enrichment

● Engaging extracurricular and enrichment activities

To support families, the program also provides transportation (bus service), breakfast and lunch, and student participation incentives.  

Summer Breeze 2026 is your student’s ticket to a summer filled with learning, laughter, and new adventures. Offered throughout June and July, the District, along with our community partners, brings exciting hands-on programs to designated campuses and locations across the community.

Summer Breeze combines academic acceleration with creativity, exploration, and enrichment while also supporting students’ social and emotional well-being. Whether strengthening skills, meeting important learning milestones, or discovering brand new interests, students stay engaged through interactive activities that make learning feel like an adventure.
