Students will continue celebrating our Read-A-Thon success on Wednesday, April 29 with a Glow Party.

☀️ This special party will include glow elements, activities, games, crafts, and more!

The PTO is looking for volunteers to help make this a fun and smooth experience—roles include shifts as short as 45 minutes. If you can’t join us for the party, sign up for the Tuesday after school shift to help with set up!

🎉 FIELD DAY IS COMING! 🎉

Our FIFTH annual Field Day is happening on Friday, May 8!!!!

This special day is filled with fun, teamwork, and so many joyful moments…it is truly my favorite day of the whole year. 💚💙

Grades 4th & 5th will be outside for Field Day stations from 9am - 11am.

PreK 3, PreK 4, and Kinder will be outside for Field Day stations from 9am - 11am.

Grades 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be outside for Field Day stations from 12- 2pm. 

To help make this day extra special for all of our students, we are asking for donations of healthy single-serving snacks, fruit, and popsicles so every child can stay fueled, hydrated, and ready to play! If you’re able to help, please sign up at tinyurl.com/DonateFieldDay and send items with your student to drop off in the gym at any time! 

Our parent volunteers are the heart of Field Day, and without them, this large, school-wide event simply wouldn’t be possible! With nearly 450 Prestonwood students participating, we truly need all hands on deck. From early morning setup to running one of our play stations, there are so many fun ways to be part of the day.

✨ Important reminder: In order to keep Field Day safe, organized, and equitable for all students, this is a volunteer-only event. We are not able to accommodate spectators, so all parents and guardians who plan to attend must be signed up as an approved volunteer. The Summer Cool program will take place at Walker Middle School Mondays-Thursdays on June 1–4, June 8–11, June 15–18, and June 22–25, 2026 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

We strongly encourage all students to attend this program to ensure they are prepared for the next school year. Summer Cool is designed to support the whole child by strengthening academic skills in a structured and engaging environment while also incorporating enrichment activities to help students build confidence and prepare for the upcoming school year.

Students will participate in:

● 2 hours of reading and enrichment

● 2 hours of math enrichment

● Engaging extracurricular and enrichment activities

Summer Breeze 2026 is your student’s ticket to a summer filled with learning, laughter, and new adventures. Offered throughout June and July, the District, along with our community partners, brings exciting hands-on programs to designated campuses and locations across the community.

Summer Breeze combines academic acceleration with creativity, exploration, and enrichment while also supporting students’ social and emotional well-being. Whether strengthening skills, meeting important learning milestones, or discovering brand new interests, students stay engaged through interactive activities that make learning feel like an adventure.
