Field Day FAQs❓ – Friday, May 8th

What should my student wear?

Athletic clothing and athletic shoes. There will be some water games, but no swimming or full water exposure so no swimsuit is needed. Students will receive a Field Day t-shirt that morning as a gift from the PTO! 👕

What happens if it is raining?

The show must go on! ☔ Field Day will still take place on Friday, May 8th. If it rains, we will move indoors. Some adjustments may be made, and the final decision will be made that morning.

Can I come just to watch my student? Can family members attend?

We are not allowing spectators. All adults attending must be signed up as a volunteer through the SignUpGenius link. There are no spectators allowed on Field Day to keep the event safe and structured for all students.

Volunteer Requirements

All adults must also be registered through VOLY (https://dallasisd.voly.org/) and check in at the front office with a valid ID.

Preguntas frecuentes sobre el Día de Campo❓ – Viernes, 8 de mayo

¿Qué debe usar mi estudiante?

Ropa y calzado deportivo. Habrá algunos juegos con agua, pero no habrá natación ni exposición total al agua, por lo que no es necesario traer traje de baño. ¡Los estudiantes recibirán una camiseta del Día de Campo esa misma mañana como regalo de la PTO! 👕

¿Qué sucede si llueve?

¡El espectáculo debe continuar! ☔ El Día de Campo se llevará a cabo de todos modos el viernes 8 de mayo. Si llueve, nos trasladaremos al interior del edificio. Es posible que se realicen algunos ajustes; la decisión final se tomará esa misma mañana.

¿Puedo asistir solo para ver a mi estudiante? ¿Pueden asistir otros familiares?

No se permitirá la presencia de espectadores. Todos los adultos que asistan deben haberse registrado previamente como voluntarios a través del enlace de SignUpGenius. No se admiten espectadores durante el Día de Campo, con el fin de mantener el evento seguro y organizado para todos los estudiantes.

The Summer Cool program will take place at Walker Middle School Mondays-Thursdays on June 1–4, June 8–11, June 15–18, and June 22–25, 2026 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

We strongly encourage all students to attend this program to ensure they are prepared for the next school year. Summer Cool is designed to support the whole child by strengthening academic skills in a structured and engaging environment while also incorporating enrichment activities to help students build confidence and prepare for the upcoming school year.

Students will participate in:

● 2 hours of reading and enrichment

● 2 hours of math enrichment

● Engaging extracurricular and enrichment activities

Summer Breeze combines academic acceleration with creativity, exploration, and enrichment while also supporting students’ social and emotional well-being.
