Academic Lettering

At Falcon High School academic excellence is rewarded with an academic letter. Receiving an academic letter is a three-step process. The following are the requirements for receiving an academic letter.

1. GPA of 3.500.

A student must receive a 3.500 GPA or better in a semester to qualify for a certificate and must be a full-time student.

2. GPA of 3.500 for any semester will earn a certificate. Semesters do not need to be consecutive.

3. The student will receive an academic letter and lamp of knowledge pin upon receiving their third certificate.

4. For each additional certificate earned thereafter students will receive a bar.

Students who transfer to Falcon High School will be recognized for their academic achievement at their previous school in the following manner:

1. Students will be eligible to receive recognition for their achievements at a previous high school upon earning an academic certificate at Falcon High School.

2. Upon receipt of official high school transcripts, counselors will determine the level at which the entering student should be honored based upon the above criteria.
