Shanghai Shenchen Hotel Management Co., Ltd. Jeurong Hotel Shanghai on behalf of Shanghai Shenchen Hotel Management Co., and Cavite State University Ink Partnership MOA
The Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP), a joint effort between Jeurong Hotel and Cavite State University (CvSU), designed to prepare students for international internships in China, is currently facing a necessary delay.
Following an initial call for applicants and two rigorous rounds of screening, first at the local campus level, then at the university level, selected students began their crucial Mandarin language training. However, the program's planned deployment to China has been temporarily postponed due to unforeseen political tensions stemming from the anticipated situation involving Taiwan. Recognizing that student safety and well-being are paramount, the program has swiftly moved to activate the Contingency Plan explicitly outlined in the signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).
This plan mandates that the program "Shall prepare a Contingency Plan in Coordination with CROWNE PLAZA SHANGHAI PUJIANG, which shall include timely coordination with the FSP (Foreign Student Program) in case of emergency or situations, to be submitted to CHED together with application documents.”
Currently, CvSU and Jeurong Hotel are working closely with Crowne Plaza Shanghai Pujiang to implement alternative arrangements, ensuring that the student interns' educational and professional development continues safely and in compliance with all requirements submitted to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Selected students are advised to continue their Mandarin training and await further direct communication on the revised schedule and placement details.
