I have lived in Spokane since I was 5 years old. I attended eight schools in 12 years in various Spokane locations. Growing up, I was anxious to get out of Spokane and move to the big city. After graduating from Washington State University, I returned to Spokane for what I believed would be the short term. I must say I am glad I stuck around because it has opened my eyes to the beauty we are surrounded by as well as the recreational activities that Spokane provides within short distances. Additionally, Spokane does not possess the traffic issues similar to Portland or Seattle and your dollar goes a lot further in Spokane than many other places. My wife MaryBeth and I have raised out two daughters in Spokane and have no regrets. We are constantly getting out and discovering new and fun activities to do around Spokane. We even make an annual bucket list highlighting new places we want to explore. On this web site, I hope to share my experiences exploring Spokane in hopes that you can enjoy the Lilac City as much as I do!
