These events help to build the bridge between youth and young adulthood by making space for bridging-aged youth (17-20 year olds) to meet and get to know Young Adults in the Canadian YA community. Advisors who are within the YA age range (25-35) are also welcome to attend these events.
Youth and advisors can register for all of these events on the CanUUdle registration form.
Friday 1-5 pm - Young Adult Gathering:
On the first day of the conference, bridging youth and young adult-aged advisors are invited to the opening Young Adult Gathering. Meet friends, both old and new, join for icebreakers, crafts, games, songs and snacks and get to know others in the YA community! All CanUUdlers will be arriving at McMaster, so it will be easy to participate in the YA Gathering on Friday. You can join us at any time in the afternoon!
Saturday 5:30-7:00 pm - Bridging Youth and Young Adult Dinner
Now in its 13th year, the Bridging Dinner is a valuable opportunity for bridging youth (17-20) and young adults to get to know each other in a relaxed setting and for youth to be welcomed into the YA community. Youth advisors who are 25 - 35 years old are also welcome. This year's bridging dinner will be at a restaurant close to the church, and youth and advisors will go from CanUUdle to the dinner.
Saturday 7:30-8:30 pm - Bridging Worship and Ceremony:
Bridging is a symbol of the transition from youth to young adult, and is a way for young adults to welcome newcomers to their community. Any youth who are 17 - 20 years old may 'bridge' in this service. You are welcome to bridge more than once!
Bridging youth are encouraged to attend the bridging dinner as well, to get to know other young adults.
