On Friday, December 5th, the Carle Place Student Organization hosted its 3rd annual Leadership Symposium, bringing together more than 200 students from Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens. The event provided a platform for young leaders to connect, collaborate, and develop essential leadership skills in a dynamic, educational environment.
This year’s theme, “Lead with Purpose: Inspiring Engagement at Every Level,” emphasized the importance of student involvement in leadership roles, extracurricular organizations, and civic engagement. Throughout the day, participants took part in a series of interactive workshops, school presentations, and student-led breakout sessions designed to foster collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. An advisor roundtable was also held, featuring team-building workshops and professional networking opportunities.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Dave Bennardo of the Huntington Town Council. The symposium was organized under the direction of Dr. Jillian Kelly, in collaboration with the Carle Place Student Organization board: President, Carolina Viegas; Vice President for Initiatives and Development, Luca D’Arpino; Vice President for Student Life, Ryan Leary; Secretary, Grace Esposito; Treasurer, Hailey Kruk; and Public Relations Coordinator, Alexa Wenger.
