I am currently a Sophomore at CPHS. I am involved with a couple of clubs such as DECA, Key club, SADD club, Women's Choir, and others. I also currently play field hockey and lacrosse in the spring. I am interested in writing about exciting events that are going on at our school and peoples experiences. I enjoy listening to music and spending time with my friends.

My name is Demi Blagonic. I am currently a freshman at CPHS. The activities I’m involved in are Key Club, SADD Club, DECA, JV volleyball, and more. It’s my priority to be very involved. I enjoy writing about people’s stories because they are always so fascinating and teach valuable lessons. People’s lives are very complex, intricate, and unique; that’s why it’s my goal to share as many stories as possible. In my free time, I enjoy running, watching movies, and reading.

My name is Alyssa Ceccoli, and I'm currently a Sophomore at CPHS. I play both varsity lacrosse and soccer, I’m a Class of 2028 officer, and I'm also an officer of Carle Place's Tri-M Music Honor Society. I sing year-round with both the Carle Place Choir and Women's Choir. In addition to writing for Crossroads, I'm an active member of 7 other clubs, including Key Club, Environmental Action Club, and Drama Club. I love capturing and helping others relive good times through my articles. Whether it’s in the classroom, on the field, or on the stage, I value creating memories and contributing wherever I can.

My name is Dehong Guo, and I am currently a sophomore at CPHS. I actively engage in several clubs, including the Medical Club, Unity Club, and SADD. I value my free time and devote it to activities I am passionate about. For example, I love all kinds of music and topics associated with science, philosophy, and sports. Particularly, I dedicate much of my time to reading about subjects including but not limited to biology, physics, astronomy, and chemistry. I have loved reading books encompassing this content since childhood, and continue to find them deeply fascinating today. Observing different types of body structures is also a major part of my interest, and I often watch science-related videos, such as animal dissections, to enhance my understanding. Through my interactions with science and philosophy, I have developed my own insights about life at a young age and formed my own distinctive perspective on various philosophical ideas. Although I am considerably enthusiastic about these subjects, I usually don’t discuss them with others because I believe that to truly grasp their core concepts and meanings, one must interpret them independently. Beyond my intellectual pursuits, I also enjoy physical activities. I find joy in badminton, which is my favorite and most proficient sport, followed by running, strength training, and basketball.

My name is Kyra Henriquez, and I’m a current sophomore at Carle Place High School. I’m currently a part of several extracurriculars, including Women’s Choir, Environmental Action Club, Key Club (Chairperson), Drama Club (Public Representative), our school shows, Music Honor Society, SPARC, SADD, Unity Club, and Culture Vultures. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, singing, volunteering, and spending time with my friends. For the past few years I have been a very active member of our school's drama department. I’m excited to be an active member of our school newspaper because I want to help tell the stories of the students and clubs at our school. A lot of people at our school work very hard but don’t always get the proper recognition for it. I also see it as a creative outlet, as I love writing and web/graphic design.

I’m currently a Sophomore at CPHS, and I’m involved in a few things in the school, such as DECA, plays, and sports. I’m a Varsity soccer player and have been a part of soccer here since Middle School. I enjoy writing articles on all sports around the school.

My name is Daniel Katz, and I am currently in the eleventh grade at Carle Place High School. I am interested in writing about history, and lesser-known happenings that are going on in the school. I am involved in Key Club, Italian Honor Society, and Science National Honor Society, as well as cross country and tennis teams. Outside of school, I like to ride my bicycle and hang out with my friends.

I am currently a sophomore at CPHS and actively involved in several clubs, including EAC, Best Friends, and the jazz band, among others. I enjoy connecting with people and am especially interested in interviewing teachers and students I haven’t met yet. Outside of school, you can find me listening to music, solving puzzles, or cuddling with my cats.

My name is Yancy Lin, and I am a freshman at CPHS. I am an active member of several clubs, including but not limited to Key Club, SADD Club, and the Environmental Action Club. I enjoy participating in school activities that allow me to connect with others and contribute to our community. I am particularly interested in writing and sharing stories that highlight the people and events that make CPMHS a unique and warm place. Outside of school, I run cross-country and track, which allows me to work together with my teammates, learning the value of teamwork, perseverance, and the power of encouragement.

My name is Frank Martens, and I currently attend Carle Place High School as a sophomore. I partake in multiple clubs, such as Key Club and Robotics Club. I am also a member of the band and the jazz band. The instruments I play include the piano and trumpet. Mainly the piano. I am a junior varsity baseball player during the Spring Season. I enjoy watching sports such as football and baseball. Specifically, I watch the New York Giants, Mets, and Islanders. Besides sports and school, I enjoy connecting with others in non-school-related events.

My name is Jacqueline Mazaroski, and I am a sophomore at Carle Place High School. I’m involved in several clubs, including Key Club, Culture Vultures, Med Tech Club, SPARC, and NJHS. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, drawing, writing, and playing the guitar. I also play lacrosse in the spring and bowl in the winter. I love collecting music, especially vinyl records and CDs. I’m interested in writing about sports updates as well as other events happening around the school.

I’m currently attending school as a sophomore in CPHS, trying my best to be involved in school activities and improve in my academics. Here at CPHS, I’m a part of Key Club, Unity, EAC, SPARCC, Med-Tech, and other organizations. I’m interested in documenting events outside of school, as well as interviewing new teachers. Apart from focusing on my academic studies, I also enjoy drawing, listening to music on my phone, watching TV, and talking with my friends.

I am currently a sophomore at CPHS, participating in several clubs, including Best Friends and Unity, as well as others. I am interested in writing and interviewing teachers, students, clubs, and events happening. Outside of school, you can find me going on walks, spending time with my dogs, listening to music, and hanging out with friends.  

I am currently a freshman at CPHS. I am involved in many extracurricular school activities such as DECA club, Key Club, Newspaper, and more. I am also part of the JV soccer team and do swimming in winter and tennis in spring. I am interested in writing about exciting news that happens in school and any sports success-related stories. I enjoy typing articles and reading as well.

I am currently a junior at CPHS, where I serve as the president of the Environmental Action Club and the Public Relations officer for Key Club. I am also an active member of Med-Tech, SPARC Club, and several other school organizations. I’m a varsity soccer athlete, and my favorite subject is math. Beyond academics, I enjoy running, baking, shopping, hanging out with friends, exploring new restaurants, and listening to music. 

I am currently a sophomore at Carle Place High School. I am a part of many different clubs and sports, including DECA Club, Culture Vultures, Unity Club, Drama Club (Co-PR), Robotics, Key Club, Med-Tech Club, Women’s Choir, and SADD Club. I am in multiple Honor Societies: Spanish, National Junior, and Music. I play JV Field Hockey (first year), Varsity Gymnastics (since 8th grade), and Varsity Softball (since freshman year). I’m heavily involved in our school’s drama department and was the Music Director for a summer production this year (2025). Additionally, I'm very musically inclined. My extracurriculars allow me to have a new perspective on the importance of actions & words. I look forward to writing about our school’s clubs, students, and events

My name is Joshua En Zhu, and I am a 10th grader and proud member of Key Club, Unity Club, Newspaper Club (Crossover), and SADD. I dig into small moments that tell big stories, believing that even a spark can light up a room of darkness. I am interested in writing about everything, even something as simple as what to eat before going to bed. Fun fact: I work with passion and purpose, not for fun and entertainment.
