Introduction:
You have been hired by a video game development company, U-Can-Game Inc., to create a custom videogame controller and video game for kids ages 6-17. You will be responsible for the Software, Electronics, and Mechanical Design.
The Design Requirements for each part of the project are as follows:
Software:
Have an avatar that is controlled with a custom game controller
Have a Background
Have all screen edges hard stop or Pacman
Create at least 2 other objects that move
Make both objects move at some point in the game
Have object collisions result in a change to the game
Make a way to win
Make a way to lose
Additional functionality is encouraged.
Electrical:
Controller uses buttons or a joystick to control the game
Circuit should first include a breadboard prototype
After the prototype has been demonstrated, an integrated solution can be created
Mechanical:
Use CAD to Model the components and housing of the controller
Create a CAD Assembly of the Controller
Fabricate a working physical prototype of your controller concept
Begin by documenting the design problem you are trying to solve using the design Brief template. Place this Template in your Engineering Notebook and complete all of the sections.
