HOW?

use this Step by Step worksheet to guide you then Join the Google Classroom (classroom.google.com, + in top right corner, enter code eanhanm )to submit your final video link to the assigment titled your contest submission

YOU (you can research together and help each other but each individual must submit their own contest video

What?

 Create a 5 minute ( or less) video (slides screencast, live action, comic animation) that convinces the viewer that the issue you chose is a problem worth caring about and that your...


When?


Video link must be posted to the  Library Google Classroom Assigment (see "how" below) by March 15th 

If you are chosen as one of the  top four Piedmont entries (individuals in grades 6-8)

WHY?

All entries must be the original work of the student and have been researched and recorded by the student during the current school year.  

The contest is sponsored by the World Affairs Council of Charlotte (WACC).

Participation in this contest provides students the opportunity to develop digital competencies that help to empower their voice and prepare them for a complex technological landscape.  The task in this contest is aligned with the following ISTE Standards for Students:

 

Global Competencies

In addition to meeting ISTE Standards, this contest provides students with the opportunity to understand the world through interdisciplinary study.  Through the completion of the task students develop four key global competencies: investigating the world, recognizing perspectives, communicating ideas, and taking action.
