Charlotte Leader Spotlight
Mrs Bass is the woman who took down the Confederate flag from atop the South Carolina capitol. For years, the flag's removal was argued, but once she did it, it changed the whole politics of the symbol. Through her brave feat, The argument went from one of inaction (keep the status quo) to one of action ( return to a past associated with slavery). No one would put it back up.
