Student Publishing and Printing

DIGITAL PUBLISHING OPTIONS:

• EMBED your digital creations from any content creation tool into your teachers Canvas discussion or your OWN Website

• LIVE BROADCAST your work onto the classroom big screen with a code from your teacher

• PRINT onto paper.  First put your work into Google Drive. Nothing else will work properly wtih media center printers

HOW TO PRINT FROM a DIGITAL CREATION TOOL. 

YOU MUST SAVE IT TO GOOGLE DRIVE BEFORE COMING TO MEDIA CENTER. Here is how:

1. Open your Canva on your CHROMEBOOK

2. Ensure your creation has all the requirements of the assignment rubric at the highest level. Make any changes needed if not.

3. Change background to white (they can change it back to color once they send it to google docs)

4. Hit the share button at top right of Canva screen

5. Hit download. That saves it to Google Drive since you are on a Chromebook.

6. Ask your teacher for a signed pass to come to the media center to print. Before you come to library, Ask the teacher what time you must return to class. you may not miss another teacher's class to print.

A Note to Staff

Ms Gurthie can help your students to go paperless!. At centers stations groups or individuals can present from their chromebook at their station or for full class they can project to your Promethean. They can even create and publish work to their portfolio website.

For those times when it is best to print on paper, the fastest way is to have students submit the work you want printed by turning it in via Google Drive LTI 1.3 (gurthie can show you) From there, you can open each and send to print with the CMSPqueuee then go to the Toshiba copier and every student's print job at one time.) 

If you want them to print individually here in Library:

 they must change their work to a white background (they must  final product must already be in Google Drive before you send them to the media center. 

Make sure to tell students when they must return back to you as we cannot give each student a reminder.
