Complete these 3 steps once you receive your chromebook:

Step 1. Sign in 

Username: your CMS ID  in front of @student.cms.k12.nc.us 

password: same as last year 

Forgot your CMS ID #?

Your student ID number can be found on your printed schedule. You can also find it by having someone start to share a google doc with you. When they type your name in your email will pop up. 

Forgot your password?

Ask any teacher to reset it. If they are busy you can complete a student help ticket .

The first time you sign in, you will have to complete the CMS Acceptable Use Quiz before you can open any other webpages.

Step 2. Complete Chromebook Condition Form

Go to https://bit.ly/chromebookconditionreport  and report all marks and damage* already on the Chromebook at the time it was issued to you. This is important to avoid being charged a fine. 

 *If your chromebook is broken, you should also complete a repair ticket at the Student Tech Help Form https://bit.ly/ccaStudentTech  and embedded at the bottom of the Care and Repair page
