Makey Makey
The purpose of the Makey Makey is to take everyday objects and add a computer interface. Using the materials in the kits you can do tons of different things from making a banana into a piano or creating a giant game controller from paper and Play-doh. The kit contains a circuit board, alligator clips, and a USB cable, the kit uses closed-loop electrical signals to send the computer either a keyboard stroke or mouse click signal.
First thoughts: It looks really cool and a good way to explain circuits to kids and lets them take that concept and expand on it with more objects. What interested me the most was how you could take the same objects and use them to make many different things. I'm going to use the kit to connect it to a drawing and make a playable instrument.

Review: The Makey Makey was really fun but a little hard to figure out. It does require some prior knowledge of how circuits work to connect all the parts together. It was hard to figure out at first and required some troubleshooting but in the end, I got it to work. There are so many other ways you can use the kit, next I think I would try to connect it to different fruits and vegetables to make the edible piano experiment.
